Regulatory Rescue ™

Rapid deployment of employee and physician training, process change, infrastructure development (policies, forms, checklists) to respond to negative reports from regulatory bodies, often with several regulatory bodies at the same time.  Successful at a 350 ADC urban hospital with 9 hospital based clinics in the Southeast, at a 2 hospital regional system in Texas that was part of a larger faith based international system, a 98 bed rural hospital in the Mid-West.

Patient Flow and Lean processes

Implementation of Lean process assessment for patient flow from ED through radiology at a large 700 bed academic medical center in the South as well as patient flow through admissions to surgery for a 400 + bed regional referral center in the South.  Also provided evaluation of Baldrige readiness for a 300 + bed academic medical center in the Mid-Atlantic Region

Department Redesign

Collaborative, non-threatening redesign of Quality Department for 200 bed suburban hospital in California under Title 22 as well as a three hospital academic health system in the Rockies, a 300 + bed academic medical center in the Mid-Atlantic region,  and a 2 hospital regional system in the South

Clinical Documentation Improvement and Utilization Review

Staff and Physician training in CDI and ICD10 for a small physician's practice in the south, as well as for multiple rural hospitals and critical access hospitals in the southwest.
Assessment of process, flow, policies and performance with remediation of gaps and improvement with best practices at a multi-facility healthcare system on the East Coast
